   Verify device identity by the physical test setup and live telemetry.

   Record current values

   Keep a known-good baseline before changing PID or supported settings.

   Change one area at a time

   Small, isolated changes are easier to evaluate and reverse.

   Apply and verify

   Confirm the controller accepts the change and remains in a safe state.

   Re-test

   Repeat relevant bench and flight checks before assuming the new configuration is stable.
